Getting to Hamilton

The new site is easily accessible with a variety of bus services linking 'Hamilton Centre/Tesco' bus terminal to the whole city and county. The new Gateway Bridge will link the bus terminal to the College.

In addition, special contract 'Gateway College' buses will be provided - further information coming soon.

The new College, supporting its green environmental design, is also part of the National 'Sustrans' Cycleway with new facilities for cycle parking on site. Routes run from the City Centre, Evington, Rushey Mead and Soar Valley.

Q. How do I get to College by bus?

Q. How much will the busses cost? Will I get a buss pass?
A. Costs will vary but will follow the present bus company tariffs. Bus passes are available for those eligible students who live over 3 miles from the College, whether using public or contract bus services. See - www.leicester.gov.uk/education/transport
 
Q. Can I cycle to Gateway?
A. Yes and you are encouraged to do so. The College's new site is actually part of the new national cycleway, with the Gateway Bridge providing links to Hamilton, Rushey Mead and Belgrave in one direction and via Colin Grundy Drive to Evington and the City Centre the other way.
 
Q. Will there be bike shelters?
A. The new site is designed to be 'bike friendly' with large numbers of 'bike shelters' on site, plus changing facilities for cyclists.
