Star Basketball Coach Visits Gateway College

        

Kevin Cadle, well known Sky Sports Presenter and Basketball Coach was invited by the College coach Graham Blatherwick and his assistant Karl Brown, to take a session in the College Sports Hall on Tuesday 5th October. 

The Basketball Centre of Excellence squad of 14 were put through some rigorous routines to improve fitness, skill and teamwork.  The afternoon was a resounding success, enjoyed by all and Kevin stayed into the early evening discussing progression and exit routes with squad members. 

The squad and coaches extend their sincere thanks to Kevin for his time and very much hope that similar events can be repeated in the future.  Since the session with Kevin, the Basketball Team have enjoyed two excellent wins against Wyggeston QE 1 College, Leicester and Bilborough College, Nottingham in the British Colleges League.
