Core skills results are significantly higher than that of national average this year
Grade 3 students have exceptionally boosted their grades in Core Skills: We have seen 70% of students achieve Grade 4 and above in GCSE English – this has increased by almost 20% since last year!* While in GCSE Maths, 78% of students have scored Grade 4 and above, which is 61% higher** than the national average!
*Passes in GCSE Fast Track English contributed at 53% in 2017/2018
**National rate for GCSE Maths (Grade 4+) is 17%
GCSE Re-Sit performances have exceeded expectations! – we have seen students achieving grades 5, 6 and even an 8!
We have supported many students to improve their maths and English as we now have 327 more pass grades achieved across Core Skills.
Across our Vocational Level 2 subjects, 95.5% of our learners, who completed, have passed! A massive 63.5% of these students have performed brilliantly achieving high grades ranging from Distinction * to Merits. They are excited to progress onto Level 3 study at Gateway or move forward onto an apprenticeship.
Well done to to IT, Business and Media departments in particular, with high grades being achieved by 60% and above.
